Candle Care Tips
We want you to have the best experience when enjoying your Little Torch, so here are some tips to optimize performance:
Location
Little Torch candles are handcrafted and designed to perform their best and brightest in smaller rooms, such as bedrooms or bathrooms. If you prefer to burn the candle in a larger space, such as a living room or kitchen, setting the candle in the right place can ensure you have the same quality of experience. Avoid drafty areas, including under fans or AC vents to ensure the flame burns safely, and never place the candle near drapes or other flammable materials. Always store your candle in a cool, dry place to maintain its quality and prevent wax from softening or discoloring.
Trim the Wick
Trim the wick to ¼" before each burn using scissors or a wick trimmer. This ensures the flame stays steady, prevents uneven burning, and reduces soot. If you would like to burn the candle for longer than 4 hours, extinguish the flame, trim the wick, and reignite.
Burn for 2-4 hours
Each time you light your candle, allow it to burn for at least 2-4 hours. This creates a broad melt pool, promoting an even burn and preventing tunneling. Burn for 4 hours when lighting the candle for the first time
Extinguish Safely
You can gently blow out your candle, but using a wick dipper or candle snuffer is best. This method prevents the wick from smoldering and reduces smoke.
